Katie, APSW
Katie has been working in mental health for the duration of her career, which includes several
years in school, residential, and outpatient behavioral health settings. She primarily serves the
youth and young adult population, though works with clients of all ages. No matter the person,
Katie values a holistic, strengths-based approach that supports them across the many areas of
their life. She incorporates components of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical
Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to best serve clients in
their goals for treatment. She feels it is an honor to walk with people on their healing journey
and loves to help equip them with the tools they need to live their life worth living.
Katie can serve a wide variety of therapeutic topics, however, her main focus areas include:
- anxiety
- stress management
- depression
- attachment difficulties
- trauma
- suicidality
- At-risk youth
- Christian faith incorporation (if desired)
In her free time, Katie loves being outdoors, spending time with her family and friends, playing
all kinds of games, and painting. Fun fact: at one time Katie was certified to run a high ropes
course and zipline! Katie provides therapy for clients ages 10 and older.
