Jordan Peters, LPC-IT
Jordan is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Training who earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, with a minor in At-Risk Child and Youth Care from the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse and her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Viterbo University.
Jordan believes therapy is a collaborative process – one in which therapist and client walk alongside one another through life’s challenges, transitions, and opportunities for growth. She uses a Person-Centered approach to create a warm, authentic, and non-judgmental space where clients feel heard, understood, and supported. Rather than approaching therapy with a one-size-fits-all solution, she works together with each client to identify their strengths, needs, values, and goals and to find a path forward that feels both meaningful and achievable. She takes a holistic approach to therapy, recognizing the connection between the mind and body and the ways our experiences can affect both. Jordan’s approach uses techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (Ml), mindfulness, and somatic approaches.
Her areas of focus include:
• At-risk Youth
• Anxiety
• Depression, self-harm behaviors, and suicidality
• Stress
• Life Transitions
• Emotional Regulation
• Personal Growth and Resilience
Outside of work, Jordan enjoys fishing, hiking, reading, and spending time with friends and family. She provides therapy for clients ages 5 and up.
